What login methods are available?

Pinpin supports social login:
  • Kakao Login
  • Naver Login
  • Google Login
You can easily use the service with your existing social accounts without separate registration.

I forgot my password.

If you use social login, your password is managed by that service (Kakao, Naver, Google).

For existing email account users, please contact us through 1:1 Inquiry and we'll help reset your password.

How do I change my nickname?

You can change your nickname on the Profile page. Click the pencil icon next to your profile image to enable edit mode. Click the check button after changing to save.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account in Profile > Account Settings.

Please note:
  • All design data will be permanently deleted
  • Cancel any active subscriptions first
  • Recovery is not possible after deletion

How do I create a new design?

Select File Menu > New Design at the top of the editor.
  • A confirmation dialog will appear
  • If there are unsaved changes, you'll be asked to save
  • New designs start with a blank canvas of default size
  • You can resize the canvas while working (drag the handles that appear when hovering over canvas corners)

How do I insert symbols?

Select a symbol from the Symbol Panel on the left sidebar.
  • Click to select a symbol
  • Click on the canvas where you want to place it
  • You can place symbols continuously for horizontal or circular patterns
Symbols are organized by categories (basic stitches, increases/decreases, special stitches) and searchable.

How do I manage the symbol palette?

Click the Add/Remove from Palette button at the bottom of the symbol palette to open the management modal.
  • My Palette (left): Currently used symbols. Click to remove.
  • Available Symbols (right): Symbols you can add. Click to add.
  • Drag to reorder symbols.

Can I change symbol size or color?

Yes, select an inserted symbol to change its properties.
  • Color: Change in the color picker in the toolbar
  • Size: Drag corner handles after selecting
  • Rotation: Drag the rotation handle after selecting

How do I finish text input?

There are two ways to finish text input:
  • Click outside: Click outside the text input area to complete.
  • Ctrl + Enter: Use this keyboard shortcut for quick completion.
Press Escape to cancel input.

How do I undo/redo?

Use keyboard shortcuts or the menu.
  • Undo: Ctrl + Z (Mac: Cmd + Z)
  • Redo: Ctrl + Y or Ctrl + Shift + Z
The same functions are available in the Edit menu.

How do I zoom in/out?

  • Ctrl + Mouse wheel: Scroll up to zoom in, down to zoom out
  • Shortcuts: Ctrl + + zoom in / Ctrl + - zoom out
  • Fit to screen: Click % in the bottom zoom control and select "Fit to Screen"

How can I see tool guides (tooltips)?

Tool guides are automatically shown when you hover over tool buttons. They don't appear when clicking, allowing you to focus on using the tool.

What are canvas tips?

Canvas tips are brief usage guides shown at the top of the canvas on your first visit.
  • Space + Drag: Pan the canvas
  • Ctrl + Wheel: Zoom in/out
  • Click symbol: Place on canvas
Click the X button to close tips; they won't appear on next visits.

To see them again, check View Menu > Canvas Tips.

Can I adjust spacing in continuous placement mode?

Yes, in continuous placement mode (horizontal/circular), you can adjust spacing and direction with arrow keys.
  • ← →: Rotate symbol direction (15° per press, 45° with Shift)
  • ↑ ↓: Adjust symbol spacing (+1/-1)
  • Shift + ↑ ↓: Adjust spacing faster (+5/-5)
See changes in real-time in the preview.

How do I save my design?

Cloud Save (requires login):
  • Ctrl + S or File Menu > Save
  • Auto-save periodically saves your work
  • Manage saved designs in "My Designs"
Local Save (no login):
  • Select File Menu > "Save as File"
  • A .pinpin file will be downloaded

How do I export as an image?

Select File Menu > Export.
  • PNG: Transparent background, good for web/social media
  • JPG: Smaller file size, for printing
  • PDF: High-quality print, multi-page support
Choose resolution and size, then click "Export".

How many designs can free members save?

Free members can save up to 3 designs. Upgrade to a subscription plan to save more designs.

What happens to my work if I'm not logged in?

Your work is temporarily saved in your browser even without login.
  • You can restore it when accessing from the same browser.
  • After logging in, you'll be asked if you want to restore temporary saves.
  • For permanent storage, please log in and save.

Where can I find my saved designs?

Click "My Designs" in the top-right menu after logging in.
  • All saved designs are displayed as thumbnails
  • Click a design to open it in the editor

What happens when I make my design public?

When you make your design public:
  • It appears in the Gallery.
  • Other users can view and like it.
  • Other users can copy it to their collection.
  • Preview images are shown when sharing on social media.

What benefits are there for sharing on social media?

Sharing your design on social media (KakaoTalk, Facebook, X, etc.) can earn you various benefits. Check and claim benefits in the modal that appears after sharing.

What if I copy someone else's design from the gallery?

Click the Copy button on a design you like in the gallery to copy it to your collection. Copied designs can be freely modified for your own use.

Who owns the copyright to my designs?

Copyright for designs you create in Pinpin belongs to you, the creator.
  • Free to use for personal purposes
  • Can also be used commercially (sales, advertising, etc.)
  • However, basic symbols provided by Pinpin should only be used within the Pinpin service

Can I use templates or gallery designs commercially?

Templates provided by Pinpin can be used freely for personal and commercial purposes.

Other users' gallery designs can be copied and modified for personal use, but using the original design commercially requires the creator's consent.

* Sufficiently modified copied designs that become new creations can be used freely.

Does making my design public waive my copyright?

No, your copyright is retained.
  • Even if you make your design public, your copyright remains intact
  • Others can copy for reference/modification, but you remain the copyright holder of the original
  • Please contact customer service if you suspect copyright infringement

Can I use external images?

Pinpin provides external image upload, but you must verify the copyright of uploaded images.
  • Images you photographed/created yourself
  • Copyright-free images
  • Properly licensed images
Please only use images meeting these conditions.

* Users are responsible for any issues arising from unauthorized use of others' work.

What is Pinpino?

Pinpino is an online editor for creating crochet patterns.

You can easily create your own patterns using various crochet symbols like chain, single crochet, and double crochet. No software installation required - use it directly in your web browser.

Is registration required?

You can use the editor without registration.

However, features like cloud storage, design management, gallery upload, and image export require login. You can easily sign up with Google, Kakao, or Naver accounts.

What are templates?

Templates are pre-made pattern samples provided by Pinpino.

When starting from scratch is difficult, choosing a template helps you quickly complete your desired pattern. Templates can be freely modified to create your own designs.

Where can I find templates?

Click the Templates button in the header to see the template list.
  • Organized by categories for easy browsing
  • Keyword search is available
  • Click a template to open it directly in the editor

Does using a template count towards my design limit?

Yes, when you open a template and save it, it counts towards your design limit.

If you only view a template without saving, it won't count. Free members can save up to 3 designs, so save only the patterns you need.

Is it free to use?

Yes, basic features of Pinpino are free.

Advanced features like more storage and high-resolution exports (SVG, PNG, JPG, PDF) are available through premium plans.

What subscription plans are available?

Detailed pricing information is available on the Pricing page. Subscriptions offer benefits like more design storage and advanced features.

How do I change my plan?

After logging in, go to My Menu > Pricing to change.
  • Upgrade: Applied immediately, only the difference is charged
  • Downgrade: Applied after current billing period ends

What happens to my saved designs if I cancel?

Your saved designs are NOT deleted after cancellation.
  • Premium features available until billing period ends
  • All existing designs remain accessible (view/edit/delete)
  • Only saving new designs is restricted

Example: Monthly (20 designs) → Free (3 limit), all 20 existing designs are kept but cannot save new ones

The editor is slow or freezing

Try these solutions:
  • Refresh browser: Ctrl + Shift + R to clear cache and refresh
  • Update browser: Use the latest Chrome, Edge, or Firefox
  • Close tabs: Close unnecessary browser tabs to free memory
  • Resize canvas: Very large canvases can affect performance

Saving doesn't work

When save errors occur:
  • Check login status: Your session may have expired. Please log in again.
  • Check network: Internet connection may be unstable.
  • Check storage: You may have exceeded free account storage limits.
  • Backup locally: Use File > "Save as File" to backup locally.

Symbols aren't displaying properly

  • Refresh page: There may be a resource loading error
  • Clear browser cache: Go to Settings > Clear browsing data
  • Try different browser: Latest Chrome or Edge recommended

I get an "Unknown symbol type" error when loading a design.

This can happen when a design from an older version contains symbols not supported in the current version. In most cases, the design loads normally, and unsupported symbols are replaced with default ones. If the problem persists, please let us know through 1:1 Inquiry.

My design preview doesn't show.

Previews (thumbnails) are automatically generated when you save your design.
  • Not saved yet: Please save your design once. A thumbnail is created on save.
  • Saved but not showing: Try refreshing the page.
  • Empty canvas: Empty canvases don't show previews. Add symbols and save.
  • Older designs: Open existing designs and save again to update thumbnails.
